In Administration | Pupils and Timetables | View and print, the room wouldn't display the first time that screen was loaded. In Marks | Verdicts, changes to the descriptions of the endorsements (except for the fields for Bachelor's degree) weren't detected. 2.11.13 2009/07/27In Marks | Verdicts | FET phase | Verdicts, you can now specify what must be printed when a student has no endorsement (i.e. the student didn't meet the promotion requirements). When printing student timetables, the key will now be printed in the top right-hand corner. 2.11.12 2009/07/27On the report, the endorsement field would only print the code, not the description. In Setup | Users, options have been added for Extra-curricular and Other schools, and the option for 'Add and remove' in Pupils have been split into separate options. The transfer cards will now print the schools postal address, telephone, fax and e-mail. 2.11.11 2009/07/27An error would sometimes occur when loading a report design which was set up to print only for pupils with a certain verdict. In Marks | Verdicts, the description for Bachelor's degree endorsement wouldn't be saved. 2.11.10 2009/07/24Endorsements can now be printed on the reports, and an endorsement statistics list was added. 2.11.09 2009/07/23Errors occurred when saving marks or calculating verdicts. 2.11.08 2009/07/22Saving a modified mark could result in an error in some cases. Empty columns weren't working properly in Pupil | Print | List. 2.11.07 2009/07/21In the last version, the reports didn't print any subjects. 2.11.06 2009/06/26A provisional implementation of the new promotion requirements for the GET phase has been added. Automatic condonation is not available, and the immigrant calculations are probably incorrect. These will be corrected once I see a formal publication describing the rules in detail. In the parents' screen, users with read-only rights couldn't switch to the address tabs. 2.11.05 2009/06/24This update will split most of your telephone numbers for you, and many addreses. It will only split addresses which contain 4 lines or less and which fit into the new fields. For numbers, a variety of formats are recognized - testing on old data showed it recognized around 90% of telephone numbers. In Pupils | Print | List, the Subject range field wasn't working correctly. The SMS system was still using the old number fields. It now uses both, with a preference for the new number fields, i.e. if anything is entered in the new fields for a person's cellphone number, it'll use that, and only use the old field if the new ones are empty. In Utilities | Data conversion, the export to comma-delimited format gave an error when exporting parent information. 2.11.04 2009/06/23In the parents' screen, new postal addresses didn't load correctly, although they were saved correctly. 2.11.03 2009/06/22An error occurred in Admin | Pupils for users who had previously selected columns for the archive. The pupil conduct records have been adjusted to print a teacher's initials instead of full names. 2.11.02 2009/06/19The automatic upgrade backup wasn't working in the new version. An error in the login function was fixed. 2.11.00 2009/06/18This is a big update, containing the modification for compliance with the DoE's LURITS system. Many fields have been added to the pupils, parents and staff. For more information, see the LURITS requirements page. The LURITS export and import functions require the file smartxmlenc.dll. This file is included in the full installation of Smart, and will also be separately available on the download page. This is a .NET 2.0 dll which requires the Microsoft .NET framework to work (as does the LURITS POP Interface software). A screen called LURITS was added to the Utilities menu. This function will check all required information for LURITS. Although not available yet, this is also where the export and import functions for the LURITS XML files will be found. A function called Phase split was added to the Options menu in Setup | Subjects. Use this to separate subject records if you've been using the same subject code for both GET and FET phases. A screen called Other schools was added to the Setup menu. This collects and manages information about other schools, and is initialized with the names of schools that were entered into the Previous school and Next school fields of pupils. There will probably be many duplicates in this list - use the Merge function to combine records. An Admin tools function was added to the Utilities menu. Only Administrators will have access to the option. It'll allow a user to run queries directly on the database, and open the database in Access. It is currently only meant for support purposes. In the Help menu, two options were added - Database folder and Program folder. These will just open the relevant folders in Explorer. |
