Smart Software's marks system is a powerful and flexible system. It easily accomodates the complexity and volume of information that schools are faced with.

With support for any number of marks, you can store every assessment, test, examination or portfolio mark. The system can handle marks out of any total, and any rubrics or symbols.

In addition to marks, the system can handle any comments you want. Both standardized comments and personalised comments are supported.

Entering marks are a lot of work. With Smart Software's marks disks feature, you can create Excel® mark books for teachers. Staff can enter and manage their own marks, which can then be imported into the program again.

When it comes to calculations, Smart Software rules the market. You can calculate any set of marks from any others, using any ratio or formula. The system can also calculate student averages, grade averages, aggregates/totals, and promotion decisions. You can even normalise marks to compensate for too easy/too dificult tests and other abnormal situations.

With the visual report designer in the system, you can create professional-looking reports, and a variety of other marks lists and control reports as well.

Numerous lists and statistics are available, from symbol distributions and lists of missing marks to top pupils.

Smart Software can also print schedules and export to the Gauteng Examination Entries programs.
